# Channel Filter

## Channels Blacklist

If you do not want activity in specific voice or text channels to be tracked, you can add those channels to the filter. For example, you can exclude an AFK voice channel, a private staff room, or a text channel that should not contribute to message statistics.

Adding a channel stops new activity in that channel from being recorded. It does not reset or reduce voice time that was recorded earlier. You can choose whether that historical data remains visible from the [Visibility](/dashboard/visibility.md) page.

### How to add?

Select the channel you want to exclude from the **Select a channel** menu, then click the **+ Add channel** button. Don't forget to save your settings.

**💎 Limit Info:** Free servers can add a maximum of **5 channels** to the blacklist. For [Premium](/general/premium.md) servers, this limit is increased up to **100 channels**.
