# Message Activity

The **Message Activity** page shows how active your community is in text channels during the selected period.

## What You Can See

The summary shows:

* Total messages sent
* Number of different members who sent messages
* Messages sent during the busiest period shown on the chart

The chart compares message totals with the number of participating members. Move over the chart to see the values for a specific time.

## Choosing a Period

Free servers can view **1 day**, **14 days**, and **30 days**. Premium servers can also choose a custom period with any number of days.

Changing the period only changes what this page displays. It does not change the server's default period or remove earlier statistics.
